CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING – INDIANA – UCRETE®
Surface Solutions rids chemical processing facility of corroded floor while adhering to corporate branding specifications.
Years of exposure to acids and chemical attack on the acid brick flooring surface of this industrial chemical manufacturing facility can be costly, creating a hazardous work environment, disrupting production or causing shutdowns.
Surface Solutions’ team of expert consultants and installers make an extensive site visit to determine how to protect the floor from aggressive chemicals destroying the surface and the underlying materials, after the customer learns of an established client’s positive experience with our work from visiting our website, SurfaceSolutionsUSA.com.
Using hand grinders and shot blasters, Surface Solutions removes the existing acid brick and grout bed, preparing the 8,600 square foot surface with a BASF Rapid Mortar 1061 pre-fill. UCRETE® HF, a three-part concrete coating treatment and flooring system ideal for use in chemical production and processing facilities, is applied –as well as UCRETE® IRON FILLED, or I/F, a polyurethane-concrete, metal aggregate resurfacing system used where severe conditions exist, such as high impact pressure, thermal shock and chemical exposure.
This flooring solution is installed, cured and ready for use with quick turnaround; in this case, within a scheduled one-week shutdown. In addition, the floor now wears the signature blue color of the corporate brand, to boot.
Because of the excellent outcome and customer service, Surface Solutions will return to complete more flooring solutions in the future.
